The medium ruby colored wine gives off a fruity nose, a bit of a departure for Bonny Doon bottlings. The savory is not forgotten, but a healthy dose of raspberry, blackberry and red currant comes forward in unbridled fashion. On the palate, there's a tartness, but also a juicy acidity at play. To me, it drinks somewhat like a cru Beaujolais., only from Monterey County. The semi-lengthy finish carries the fruit well.

Rated previously. Gorgeous magenta color! Costco find! Great price for this with some age on it! Really enjoying it's evolution. Characteristic of iron ore and earth...very nice

CdP-inspired cuvée from #montereycounty. While the southern Rhône may have been their target, the bright red fruit aroma, lovely floral notes on the nose plus crunchy red fruit, bright tartness and medium bodied palate do indeed invoke Cru Beaujolais; agree with @Randy Fuller there. Strong QPR from Costco @ ~$14 presented in a graceful red blend.

Fresh, lively red fruits. Notes of cherry and cranberry on the palate and the nose. A bit of earthiness as well. The large dollop of cinsaut contributed to the brightness of the fruit flavors. 52% Grenache, 35% Cinsaut, 13% Syrah. 7/4/22.

Red berries mixed with cherries supported by structured tannins in a medium body. The finish is not lengthy, but who cares? This is a solid blend!

2018 vintage. Gets that little lift on the finish from the Mourvèdre that vaults this wine to a 9.2. Reminiscent of a few of the late ‘80’s/early 90’s vintages. A keeper. Need to cellar 3-4 bottles to trot out in 15-20 years.
