Great Tempranillo! Power but elegant. Lots of oak but elegant. Just lovely!

13 years in and still a joy (with a good bit of life left if you want to hold). Aromas of jammy black cherry and bacon fat. Lush cherry and blueberry backed with licorice and mocha, moderate buoying acidity and still-firm tannins. Yum! #tintadetoro #toro #spanishwine

Boldly structured with aromas of wet soil, campfire, and dark chocolate. Paired with baked provoleta cheese, yummy! Drinking the 2014 which is still a bit young.

Flirting with perfect for my dad's 80th birthday dinner. Cherries, chocolate and melting, mouth watering tannins.
Disclaimer:I import it.

Reeling over how complex, rich, spiced, and flavorful this is. Easily one of the most mesmerizing Spanish red wines I’ve had in quite some time.

Perfectly balanced, deep and fresh in flavor, a model for what the Tinta de Toro can be and achieve with balance and precision in the winemaking. Young and right, but lots of juicy acidity and freshness. The tannin is perfect, not too firm, not too dry or too ripe. Blue, black and red fruits with a beam of vanilla and cinnamon spice from the new French oak. Enjoy now with am 30-60 minute decant. #tintadetoro

Capa alta, en nariz naranja, frutas rojas, salinos y ahumados. En boca potente aromático y con un gran final salino y tostado.

I mainly like lighter reds but this wine is my exception that confirms the rule. I just love the ample fruit here and even the oak. I think I'll wait for a while with my remaining case.
