Mmmmmmm. Red fruit on the nose. Noticeable acidity compared to the other Garzon wines. Punishing tannin, dried red fruit, clove and baking spices on the finish. Weighty, sandpaper texture. A consistently exciting producer.

Feb 17th, 2018After a 30 minute decant this wine from Uruguay really opens up. Silky smooth, low tannins, full bodied, dark fruit, nice color. Better than the 2016 I had a few years ago. TGIF!!

Rich and soft stewed cherry and plum. Gentle acid. Mild, grainy tannins. Holds up on day two. A great intro to the new wave of Uruguayan wine.
