Reserva Cabernet Franc

Good everyday red. I like the austerity and relative constraint of cab franc.

Medium body, smooth but tart, vanilla, boysenberry and cranberry with a peppery finish. Paired well with mushroom pâté.

Mmmmmmm. Red fruit on the nose. Noticeable acidity compared to the other Garzon wines. Punishing tannin, dried red fruit, clove and baking spices on the finish. Weighty, sandpaper texture. A consistently exciting producer.

Not as good as its other counterparts elsewhere in South America

After a 30 minute decant this wine from Uruguay really opens up. Silky smooth, low tannins, full bodied, dark fruit, nice color. Better than the 2016 I had a few years ago. TGIF!!

2015 vintage. Richer red fruit profile with raspberry, stewed cherries, red plum, dried sage, cedar, graphite, dried leaves.

Rich and soft stewed cherry and plum. Gentle acid. Mild, grainy tannins. Holds up on day two. A great intro to the new wave of Uruguayan wine.

v21. Very nice. Black pepper and cedar nose. Bright, juicy blackberry fruit. Clean, slightly astringent, leather finish. Nice entertaining wine.

Absolutely delightful with well-balanced tannins.

Light with medium body. Wonderful to have a glass while walking around the yard enjoying the trees and flowers. Pleasant with no bite.
