Always love these Ligurian whites! This one smells of lemon thyme, cucumber and hay on a hot summer day. Finesse with just enough suppleness on the palate=happy harmony.

At L'Apicio, Joey Campanele's delicious new Italian spot... Who would have thought this stuff would ever make it to the Bowery...

Brie rind, lilies, moss, softly floral, ginger. Soft texture. Medium bodied. Valencia orange, ginger ale. Very nice. Great with cheese!

Tasted with marvelous branzino with fresh herb and tomato “spring caponata,” this wine was an ideal embodiment in a glass of the “macchia,” the Italian version of the Rhône’s “garrigue.” Bright pear, apple, lemon and yellow plum with an underlying steely minerality and wonderful sensations of hay and salt air-tinged brush. Surprisingly juicy but also lean, it’s an ideal wine for fish

Very dry, very savory. Viscous texture, even creamy; mineral and saline flavors first and foremost with fruit taking a back seat. Nose has dried flowers, dried herbs and wet stone / seashell and lemon, palate adds fennel, peach, grapefruit to the mix. Distinctive

My first 100% Bianchetta, which is typically used as a blending grape in Liguria. Full bodied and waxy. Great texture that really grabbed me. Crisp and saline. Like a Muscadet on steroids. Perfect with steelhead trout.

Delicate fennel and flowers with a pleasing bitter note on the finish. The star of the Bisson tasting.
