Deep Ruby color with berry fruit, fragrant spice and earthy cedar notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum, and cacao with notes of floral spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, tobacco and cedar wrapped in an earthy herb mineral spice character. Starting to drink well now, will age.

A good use of oak across the entire range of Banfi in 2010-2011. Very classic in style and true Sangiovese character. Excellent!

Enjoyed a 2013, amazing oaky punch with cherry and tabacco notes. Perfect for a good tipple with friends and family, or with a decent meal. Enjoyed at Laloda in Chianti, Italy.

Excellente!!! Aromas of must, dark cherry, and tobacco. On the bud, dark stewed fruits and a bit of oakiness. Tannins are in control with a long finish. Great with pizza in Bologna!

This was a fantastic wine. Nose is hard to discern. But after a 30 min decant, the wine opens beautifully to ripe blue fruit, blackberry and hints of red fruit. Lovely mouthfeel. Just easy drinking, great ripe fruit forward wine. I see why JS gave it a 99. Loved it!
