Blinded on this beauty. And blinded by its beauty. I am shocked how amazing this wine showed tonight. I've had it a couple times before and never seen it for this... I'd put it up next to the best Pouilly Fuisse I've had.

Valentini is a treat just hard to justify the price point

White coffee, if something like this existed. Very high acidity, food wine, aromas bit closed

#valentini #trebbianodabruzzo - un'annata meno felice per quanto mi riguarda, ma pur sempre un grande vino

Trebbiano d'Abruzzo DOC 2011, 12.5%. This is an interesting and unique wine that needs years of refinement in the bottle. I tasted a very young bottle (only two years old) and at the nose it was quite simply bad: sulphuric, with intense smell of cheese crust, not pleasant at all!
In the mouth it's rather different, delicate and pleasant, with flavors of camomile and herbs.
I've been told that people open the bottle up to 2 days prior drinking, which I think is just too much aggravation, however it's probably because I do not understand this wine!

Thought this was pretty, reminded me a bit of white Burgundy in some ways. I didn't think it lived up to its hefty price tag.
