Terre Siciliane Frappato

Mid to pale Ruby in colour - a little cloudy. Cowyard pooey aromas - perhaps a touch of Brettanomyces. On the palate, just medium weight but highly savoury with sour sappy cherry. Soft almost non existent tannins. Essentially an easy to drink red which was a great match with homemade Pizza.

Medium ruby; medium intensity aromas of strawberry, light cherry, bramble, subtle tarragon; dry, medium plus acid, low tannins, medium alcohol, medium minus body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; well balanced and light, very good

Very tasty! Bright and crunchy. Not as many aromatics as previous commenters mentioned, perhaps a bit of time would help

Mar 12th, 2019Floral, light weight, pretty with strawberries and a touch of earth on the finish. Tasty for immediate term drinking.

Sicilian Frappato sexiness. Delicious high toned pomegranate with field cherries, garrigue funk on the nose. Black tea, wild floral notes, underbrush, chewy tannins. A red with verve. Can’t decide if I like the Pithos Rosso from these guys better or this.. I think the Rosso by a smidgen.

May 15th, 2018Delightful dinner at Marta accented by this delicious 2015 Cos Frappato. Red current and Christmas spice with violets and a touch of earth. Light bodied but full of personality. It tastes like spring.

Bramble fruit. Cherry pie filling metallic fun. Definitely not on the same level as their Nero di lupo, or Classico, but still a knockout go to wine!
