Nuits St. Georges Pinot Noir

A little firm and drying on the finish, but very solid for the $26 price. Earthy nose, some bright cherry, cracked stone. Leaner in the mouth but decent balance.

I historically have had terrible luck with NSG. It’s my Eleanor. But tonight Eleanor and I are clicking. Very light and somewhat advanced color. But the nose is nice with wet earth, bright nose-tickling cherry Sweetart fruit, spice, and cracked limestone powder. Pure and lean in the mouth, with great acids and decent length. Nice value.

This very dark fruited Nuits went down very easily. Cinnamon said it had enough sunshine but was still restrained enough to keep us coming back for more. I think it must have been a small bottle- it was gone quickly! A touch of flashy catnip like oak, but great acid. I am into it... or rather, I was.

Vibrant nose. Flavored with amazing notes of smoke and cranberries.

Beer can chicken is a great partner for Burgundy. This powerful black fruit style of NSG has plenty of tannin and catnip like oak, but also great 2014 acid. A steal at the C&E closeout price.

Pleasantly funky aroma, bursts of flavor, delicious

Opened up after a while, showing some nice cherry flavors.

Much more subdued since my last glassful. Like a big soft pillow. Nothing is overpowering and all the edges are smooth.
