2013 vintage. Medium ruby. Strawberry violet nose. A more subtle style, with red currant, black raspberry, a touch of coffee and sweet spice. Perfect with cast iron NY sirloin steak. 13% ABV. — 3 months ago
Nice Ruby color with an array of fruit, floral and spice aromas. On the palate cherry, currant and raspberry flavors with some fresh cinnamon spice and tea notes. Vibrant acidity, elegant fine tannins, well balanced just starting to wake up, long finish ending with slight earthy notes, plenty of depth, will continue to develop. — 2 months ago
Little boozy and simple but good. And pricey. — 2 months ago
Nice but lacking complexity — 8 months ago
Yowza. What a nose. Superb aromas. Clay, blueberries and granite. Deep florals. So clean and pure. Amazing layering. Dude is so so underrated. Palate is pure, juicy, dark and has stunning texture. Awesome bounce and freshness. So much granite and freshness. Long and so so complex. Really really great. Real serious concentration here. Pure and deep. Sweet and ripe tannins and finishes peppery. — 2 months ago
Clunky bitter and tasted boozier than the 11% would suggest. Molto rustico. — 3 months ago
Terrific nose. Blueberries, dark blackberry, granite and clay. Really compelling and deep. Herbs, red velvet cake. So nuanced and elegant. Refined, clear and precise. what vivid blueberries. Palate is ripe and rich, delicious granite and concentrated tiny berry red fruits. Refined and so granite driven. Elegant and deep. Needs to open and it will. This is old school and will unfold. Will be back.
This greatly improved overnight and it really needed excess air as all of the Pinheiro wines need. Big smokey blueberries and massive granite on the nose lead way to spice flowers, clay and blackberries. Some hints of desiccated blackberry as well. Palate is round, ripe and creamy. Delicious, complex and concentrated fruit and amazing purity. Finish seems still a bit closed but wow what a wine. Really clean and balanced but still holding back. Such fine tannins. From 9.2 to 9.3. — 5 months ago
