The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough is a richly flavored, textured wine. It focuses on the greener spectrum of the variety, particularly sweet gooseberry and elderflower fruit. The 2023 is an interesting and attractive, lightly structured Sauvignon Blanc that offers something for everyone. $23.00 (Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, June 2024)

On the drier side. Nose was bright and promising, but the taste disappoints somewhat. Unless you like your sauv blancs subtle. Passion fruit. Lacks the big grass and herbs.

I had to laugh to myself putting my nose in the glass. Is there any other wine as instantaneously recognizable? Nothing apologetic here. Grass and grapefruit to the core with a brilliantly snappy acidity. This wine is sharp as a tack and a pitch perfect example of variety and geography.

Hubby likes but we agreed its grapefruit forward. Lovely though. Refreshing but not too light. Not the kind that tastes grassy and minerals.

This highly rated #marlborough #sauvignonblanc proves NZ wines like this need not be one-dimensional high-acid quaffers. Grapefruit, elderflower, grassy and herby aromas on the palate. Yes, there’s a big wave of tart green fruit up front but layers continue on the palate with a bit more luscious concentration than typical for the region. Delicious.

Very pale gold color. Intense aroma like papaya. Tastes of grapefruit, grass, and lime pith. Strong personality.

2022 Vintage with seafood dinner. Notes of grass and herbs, not real fruity for a Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp and dry, but not my favorite.
