Vintage 2009 | this wine stood next to Aldo Conterno’s Barolo 2009 and I appreciate this a lot more. Cherries and roses in smell, refinement. Juicy, full and lovely roundness, elegance. Wow!

Deep tawny color, bright and barely opaque. Feminine, fragrant nose with notes of ripe black cherry, rose petals, fresh wet soil, red cedar and a little tar. Very impactful in the mouth with lots of chewy fruit matched with a nice acidity back bone. Medium plus finish. Still mostly primary and needs age to develop more interesting secondary flavors.
