Satisfying #pinotnoir discovery from #siciliadoc at a private restaurant party. I wonder how they get enough cool evenings down in Sicily during those hot summers for this grape? Nevertheless, it works nicely - wild cherry fruit up front, very restrained oak and manageable tannins. The wine worked well with some Italian favorites like lasagne and sweet sausage. — 5 years ago

Opaque with a deep ruby core and blood red rim. Med intensity and complexity on the nose showing meat, leather, black pepper, stewed date and plum, and very ripe strawberry and huckleberry. The body was full on the palate with med + tannin, high abv, and med - acid leaving the structure a touch flabby. Med complexity showing some ripe fruit, bitterness, and earthy and medicinal notes.
