Its electric! ⚡ #hellachenin — 7 years ago
Crazy minerality and acidity, lemon pith and pear, beeswax and oats. Bright and tense, definitely going to sit on a bottle for a while. Oddly for a light white wine, my first thought when tasting was, damn this is so metal 🍐🪨🤘 #hellachenin — 4 years ago
Salted lime, struck flint, slapped face. 🤸 80% Chenin Blanc, 20% Sauvignon Blanc. #hellachenin — 6 years ago
Brian Newberry's wines are not to be missed, this Chenin is killer. And sure to age well, I just can't keep my hands off long enough. #hellachenin — 7 years ago
Just that neighborhood juice! Deliciously fresh and funky, electric and refreshing. Lemon, wool, shells and a lil splash of Looza pear juice. Also, it's St. Rey dammit, not Roy. #hellachenin 🔌🕺 — 4 years ago
Snappy & green, with huge acidity. Could have aged this one for 10yrs. Then again, no I couldn't. #hellachenin — 6 years ago
Just stupid good. I can muse over a glass of this for an hour just as easily as I can finish a bottle in the same time frame. Both experiences would be equally enjoyable, and that is what great white wine making is about. #hellachenin #pétnasty — 7 years ago
Killer right now! Delicious on first pour but got even better on day two. Don't be afraid to decant or cellar this for a few years 🔋⚡ #hellachenin #sacramentoterroir — 7 years ago

You could put this in a single-blind tasting lineup of Loire chenins as a ringer, and it would fool most. I would rather celebrate it solo, with food.
Bright green-gold, with hints of the brassy color it will be one day. Bruised yellow apples and pears, candied lemon peel, beeswax and lanolin. Crushed rock, flinty and slightly phenolic. Totally dry but implies a sucrosity that just killed it next to chicken-fried maitake & oyster mushrooms.
Many years ahead for this one. Sactown Savennières? #hellachenin 🍐🐝🐑🪨 — 4 years ago
