Gotta love a ~$17 #crubeaujolais from Costco. This producer’s #morgon might have developed further for a couple of years but this 2019 opened up nicely a day in the wine fridge. Swirling in my Burgundy bowl glass reveals spicy wild cherry notes edging towards bramble fruit, raspberry purée, black pepper, wet stone, iron and faint smoky notes. Solid concentration on palate, crunchy red fruit, substantive tannins supported by juicy acidity. Outstanding QPR here - stock up on this for Thanksgiving if you can find it. — 5 years ago
