Norman Hardie

Unfiltered Ontario VQA Pinot Noir 2013

The suave character of the nose made me think of nebbiolo, then sangiovese grosso but one thing's for sure, this wine was italian or french. I was wrong! Low alcohol pinot noir, supported by intense aromas and a touch of residual sugar. That kind of precision and finesse from a cold climate zone in Canada will certainly remain to impress me for some time. #blindtasted #canada #pinotnoir — 6 years ago

I'm pleasantly surprised! I can't believe a 16 year #Ontario #meritage taste like a decent #Bordeaux Screw people who think #Canada can't make good wine #peninsularidge #magnum

Norman Hardie

Niagara Peninsula VQA Unfiltered Chardonnay

Bright acidity, buttery, slightly tannic. Cool climate aromas. Stone fruits, pear, oak aromas but not aggressive, superb alcohol levels, complex, excellent for new world in terms of freshness. Mineral and focused. Balanced and edgy. #niagara #canada — 6 years ago

Estate Beamsville Bench Riesling 2013

When in Rome, drink local juice. Really delicious Riesling. Unmistakably Riesling. Strong mineral backbone, white peach, key lime. #ontario #canada #riesling — 6 years ago

Sonoran Vineyard Naramata Bench Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Canada's version of Cali cab. Quite jammy, nice earthy finish. Doesnt stand out, I would like to see it again in a few years. Too fruity right now. #bcwine #canada — 7 years ago

Norman Hardie

Unfiltered Niagara Peninsula Pinot Noir

Ripe ripe ripe red fruits, sour cherries and crunchy, forest floor, kinda ginger beer thing. Exaggerated, flabby, I mean still acid but not to stand against this massive fruit. Good tannins. Complex and almost candy like aftertaste. No sulphur? Apparently a source of national pride this wine. #niagara #canada — 6 years ago
