👁 This wine has a deep ruby hue. It has clarity, noticeable tearing, and extraction on the glass.

👃 On the nose, this wine has medium(+), developing aromas of dark fruit, such as black cherry preserves, candied cassis, blackberry bramble, as well as baking spices, such as cardamom, nutmeg, and cinnamon alongside vanilla, molasses, and cedar. It also has delicate potpourri, earth, and leather aromas.

👄 On the palate, this wine is dry, with medium acidity, a full body, medium alcohol, grippy tannins, and medium(+) flavor notes consistent with the nose, including dark fruit (black cherry, cassis, blackberry), baking spices (cardamom, nutmeg), also anise, molasses, tobacco, and earth.

This wine is very good albeit youthful. It has impeccable balance of tannins, acid, and flavor notes. It could be improved with more age in the bottle, which will soften the tannins and reveal an increased complexity in tertiary aromas. This wine may be consumed with joy now, but will be improved with more aging in the bottle.

Wow one of my favorite grapes for one of my favorite producers apple, pear fresh hay and lots of rocks! A perfect pick me up on one of those days where all seems a bit hopeless 💔 but this was inspiring and especially good with an impromptu shrimp curry — 4 years ago

In my opinion and in the majority of cases, French whites take US whites in terms of quality and price, and this one’s no exception. Lemon, curd, cream, and chalk. Just under $40. — 4 years ago
