The Maiden Napa Valley Red Bordeaux Blend

I'm traumatized by @Jörgen Lindström Carlvik and @Ryan Carey. I'm unable to approach their tasting dominance. So, I'm diggin deep with this.

It's a great 2nd wine. On the nose, in the glass and on the palette, this wine has stood still.. Toffee and maple syrup nose. Lovely mouthfeel with prominent tannins framing cherries, cinnamon. Fig paste also comes to mind.

Also beautiful 😍 We loved the notes of black cherry, blackberry, crème de cassis, cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon, leather, and forest floor. A balance across primary, secondary, and tertiary characteristics!

No tannins. Great fruit medium finish. Can last 5 yrs. max. Enjoy now.

The 1999 vintage is just magnificent. Enjoying it on New Year's eve with my family I'm sorry but it is a 10 out of 10
