Pale lemon in color.

Full-bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with mild complexity.

Showing yellow apples, ripe citrus fruits, spices, roasted nuts, sea salt, oak and herbs.

A little bitter on the finish, and better when properly chilled.

This Carneros Chardonnay is rich and fruit forward. Easy drinking and buttery.

Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself. A good party wine.

Founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley, with caves that extend for over a mile. Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruit, sweet oak, spice and floral scents. On the palate flavors of ripe peach, melon and apple, with vanilla spice, creamy texture. Medium+ finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with mineral notes.

Yes, it’s Rambauer, yes it’s butterscotch, and yes sometimes I like that for a change lol

Aromas of melon, vanilla and dried rose petals. Citrus flavors with additional notes of peaches and cream. Noticeable vanilla and butter notes on the medium-plus finish. Not over oaked but oak is definitely present. Toned down from prior vintages but still “traditional California” in style. Paired well with the bread and butter course but not much else. Well made but not my style. Part of the 2025 Capital Grill Generous Pour Program.

Medium gold in color; yellow apple, butter, and vanilla on the nose; medium acidity; tastes like lemon zest, apricot, chalk with a long finish. Nellie liked it. I did not.
