Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, toasty vanilla and baking spice scents. On the palate complex flavors of apricot, pineapple & lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on a nice mouthfeel. Long finish ending with oak, mineral and citrus notes, will continue to age. A big Chardonnay. Pair this with a Striped Bass dressed in a puttanesca sauce topped with bitter watercress.

The wine from last night we had was the 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Karia Napa Valley Chardonnay.

On the nose there is lemon, pear, vanilla, apple, celery leaf, butter and almonds.

On the palate is lemon, apple, vanilla, pralines, butter, carmelized sugar and minerality.

This is a medium bodied wine with medium + acidity and a long citrus lemon mineral finish. Not a bad wine given it's ten years of age. Probably could stand up a few more years. I hope everyone's weekend has been a good one. Let's all look forward to the week ahead with positive thoughts. Please be safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Apple, lemon, citron, honey, dried apricot and oak. Bold acidity and good minerality.

Pours a bright golden straw color with loads of tropical fruits on the nose: pineapple and guava. On the pallet, again the tropical fruit with some citrus and a little butter. Medium acid. This is a fast ball, straight down the middle Napa Chardonnay.

Pale lemon with stone fruit aromas and toasty spice. On the palate crisp green apple, pear and peach fruit flavors with floral and vanilla spice. This wine is medium-bodied, with nice buttery mouthfeel, smooth & creamy. Medium+ finish, balanced with lively acidity and fruit adding slight toasty ending. Consistent quality.

Tasted blind I pegged this as Napa Chard but I was not expecting this producer. Disappointing. Felt very disjointed. Not worth the price tag in my opinion.
