Had before. This vintage has a bit more new oak (maybe the year they brought in new barrels to the mix). Dark berries, smoke, vanilla, medium plus bodied, blackberries, minerals and nice acid.

Dark ruby red with purple hue, ripe plum, black berry, black cherry, black cassis, and prune. Slightly menthol with dried savory herbs notes, licorice, star anise. Nose is intriguing, has similar aroma resemblance to Sichuan peppercorns and red peppers. Cinnamon bark. Med to med plus tannin, med plus acidity. Flavor and goes wonderfully with spicy Sichuan boiled beef. Great wine for its price! 85% Malbec, 10 % Tannat, 5 % Merlot.

Funky and herbaceous, peaty forest floor character. Good mid palate core and a finish that shows some mineral flourish.

This 2009 is 85% Malbec, 15% Merlot and sits at 14* of alcohol. Plums, blueberries, black cherry, and violet aromas. Dry, with medium-high tannins, medium acids. Black currant, blackberry, black cherry, and unripe plum on the palate. Has aging potential now through 2015. Recommend decanting 1 hour or more before consumption, or use of an aerator.

Aromas of cedar and tobacco with ripe dark fruit. Flavors of ripe plum, cherries and anise. Firm tannins suggest it could use a little bottle age.

This is a powerhouse, not brooding and filled with menace, but spirited and celebratory. The clay mingles with an herbaceous rosemary-mint, a fleshy mushroom, ripe black cherry and blackberry in a dark chocolate mix, this one paints the very glass these aromas leap from. Complex and complete it offers a rich slice of beet with blackberry blood. Endless depth, finesse and structure in this beauty which quite frankly puts almost every other wine at "par" to shame. Bravo! Magnifique!
