Crisp, and sweet. Nice with fruity desserts. — 7 years ago
Bought this at a small shop at the train station on the way home. I didn’t realize it was South African but was pleasantly surprised that this was better than most of the low cost Italian and Argentinian we’ve been drinking for the past few weeks. £20. — 7 years ago
I am consistently surprised by which rosé takes control at our shop year after year. This summer it’s been Alkoomi hands down. Our first year carrying this Frankland River blend of Grenache with splashes of Mataro, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Incredibly pale in the glass. Medium bodied with strawberry, tangerine, and (per their website) lemon biscuit. It’s true there is a citrusy biscotti note here. I must admit, I’m a convert and have probably drank a case of this at home over the course of the summer. Family winery that farms sustainably. What will next year bring? — a year ago

Enjoyed at dinner in Bellagio. Bought a bottle to take home from local wine shop — 7 years ago
Very bold, earthy and full bodied. Olive, cardamom chocolate and blackberry. 80% Cabernet 20% Shiraz. 15% ABV. Bought in Niseko Japan about 4 years ago at a wine shop run by an Aussie would you believe. Intended drinking this at the ski resort and ended up bringing it home. This is a sibling to the legendary DUCK MUCK from this estate which used to change hands for four figures on the secondary market after a 100 point rating from Robert Parker. Hearty and flavoursome - a good Winter Red. Would be tough going on a hot day in Summer. — 2 years ago
I’m actually across the street from Finca Cortesin at our new part time Casares home. 8.50€ from a small bakery/gourmet shop. I liked this enough to buy a second bottle. — 3 years ago
So good! Tasted at Highlands Wine Shop & brought a bottle home. — 5 years ago

Crisp, clean, not too sweet. — 7 years ago
Haven't opened wine at home for a while.
Been to 'sommelier' which is 🇮🇱's biggest wine exhibition. Hundreds of wines for tasting. It was too much for me... Got stupidity drunk with not enough insights.
Last week went to a smaller festival In a big shop round my neighbourhood. Took it easy and slowly and had a few interesting reds, one more then the rest. Fetched a bottle will update.
Got this white blend ( chardonnay, gewurtzterminer and sauvignon blanc ) while staying at 'vineyards' boutique hotel close to the vineyard (duh).
This was bottled February 2019 and we are on the 17Th February. So straight from the vats it is.
Light pale straw 👁️
Grass, honeycomb, guava, melon, citrus and some herbs 👃
Grapefruit first then some 🍋and lime with tropical bitterness on the background 👄
Low to medium acidity .
Medium (almost light) 🎯
balanced and interesting.
They ripped me off at the hotel (paid 140 instead of 90 nis which is retail price). OK vfm on real price.
Paired ok-ish with traditional israely dinner = sourdough bread, tahini, omelette and a salad.
After 24 hours the wine stayed quite the same. Paired better with some Asian takeaway that included som tam salad, sate tofu curry and some 🍣 — 7 years ago

Very earthy, peppery, and spicy in the aromas. Very soft and smooth in the start on the palate, bolder and dryer in the finish. Some complexity, but easy for a Cabernet Franc. — 10 months ago
