Second time for me tasting this wine and I'm still impressed by the complexity. So many layers of different aromas. Very impressive. On the palate its a totally differential approach than all the GGs I tasted before. Much rounder, softer with pure elegance and a super, super subtle power. This Sankt Nikolaus plays in a totally different league. Kühn told us that he wants to do a different wine out of the grape variety than the other producers. Not on the same level than the Sankt Nikolaus imo. More on the riper fruit side as the site is warmer. Also very complex in the nose but missing the extra umph I get from the SN. And I'm very curious how it will age, appeals very open & "ready" at the moment. — 8 years ago
Star bright beige gold. Abundant nose of green apples and honey with hay-like overtones. Full on the palate which echoes the palate heightening the hay notes and wrapped around firm, mouth-watering acidity. Lengthy finish continues the palate and ends clean. Classic Mosel Riesling Spätlese with classic richness that will support a wide range of rich and/or spicy foods. Bring it to Thanksgiving dinner for a wine that everyone will enjoy. Рислинг ауслезе трокен 2011 года, цвет блестящий чуть с желтовато-лимонным оттенком, аромат интенсивный, яркий, море тропических фруктов, груша, мед, немного тёплого камня, каменной пыли, и ни грамма петрольных нот, вкус повторяет аромат, с добавлением очень лёгкого хересного тона, который со временем сходит практически на ноль.
