Visited the winery close to Schliengen in the Bonnies. Baden / Germany. There is really no doubt in my mind that Max Greiner is a rising star. This his basic Chasselas matches Ziereisens versions easily. At the moment chiseled and sharp. Plenty of acid. And lemon mostly with a pinch of herbs. Apparently Lisa Turpetz picked up his whole 2024 production for the US. I will certainly get some. — 22 days ago

Perfect balance between sugar and acidity- nice genes! Good job — 11 years ago
After the 2023 vintage did blow us away at the Wine Store (The Meritage in Encinitas). I really had to meet Max the wine maker. This Chard is young and at this point hard to read - but it is also really good out of the gate. Green apples and so much more….and that for his Gutswein - his basic Chard. — 22 days ago

Laurence and Philippe Greiner are the nicest couple making wines organically in Riquewihr. Here their everyday Riesling has layered aromas of ever so slight petrol, lime zest, wet stone, and fragrant citrus blossoms. The lime follows presenting a lively, medium-high acidity palate that is dry and slowly fades. Linear attack, round on the finish, high quality, great value. — 7 years ago
This cuvée is 100% Savagnin. It is clean as a mountain stream with acidity for the long run. — 7 years ago
Holding up well. Good acid and structure with some nice fruit holding it together. A an excellent Nick Greiner grey — 11 years ago

Had this now at my wine store, and at the winery - and then again back home. Pricey 90$. Super elegant, refreshing and refined. Like a Morey St. Denis. — 12 days ago
