One of many wines I bumped into when reorganizing my cellar. A real Aha!-experience and an old-time favorite.
Light and bright yellow in the glass. Subtle complexity. Mouthwatering hints of green tea, jasmin, ginger, white pepper, lemonpeel, white peach and wet rocks. Drinking beautifully now, and the following decade.
Wonderful balance between sweetness, freshness, salinity and acidity. This is all about refinement. A classic Mosel beauty. 😍 — 4 years ago
Wow, medium yellow color, very nice floral apricot honeyed with just a hint of that petrol underneath, with a light lithe texture into a bit more acidic finish. 8% ABV. Must have aged well since last time, last one unfortunately — 6 months ago
Suuper reductive, with funky notes of petrol and sour cream. Quite spritely too - almost lemonade-like. The palate is intense, concentrated, powerful and acidic and honestly quite inscrutable at this stage. Wow, this is a serious Riesling that demands patience. 90++ — 2 years ago

Nice sweet red — 5 years ago
Best riesling i’ve tried so far..
Very good for spicy food.
Round, lots of lime, very fruity when properly cooled. — 6 years ago
By the glass. Barb said aromas of Fairy Floss. (Aussies who have been to rural Agricultural Shows will be familiar with Fairy Floss - a sugary whipped confection). Also a note of Lemon and petrol, but oh so young - yet to display its potential. One of the least sweet Ausleses I have ever had. Great refreshment and lively acid. — 7 years ago
Lots of candied fruits but still a nice acidity — 7 months ago
Nose: bright. Lovely. White and yellow flowers. Pink grapefruit.
Palate: on the sweet side. Nice peach. Solid. Mountain stream. Sort of lovely if not not brilliant.

Dry reisling? I thought it was supposed to be sweet! Yummy dry minerals — 5 years ago
Arietta Wines lunch with owner Fritz. We were able to taste through some current releases as well as some reserve wines Fritz brought with him personally. A treat to enjoy these Andy Erickson wines!
Classically styled and balanced. Very reminiscent of Spottswoode’s SB. Floral with tart fruit and medium acidity. Lots of lemon-lime here but also melon. Crushed rocks. Vibrant. — 7 years ago

Fill was 3 inches below the cork, which was soaked and mouldy and fell into the bottle as soon as Mr. Durand touched it.. 😳
Yet…. Still fresh as a daisy! Healthy golden colour with a copper tinge. Elegantly fruited and flowered, slatey and saline minerality. Off-dry medium-bodied palate. A wine with a distinguished personality, really self-assured and completely at ease. — 2 months ago
