April 2018 Disgorgement is absolutely killer right now, with an ultra complex aromatic profile and chiseled palate with riveting energy and a seamlessly balanced expression of layered red berry fruit, blood orange and chalky minerality. VO base with a touch of still Pinot from Francis Egly. The best! — 2 years ago

Drinking at the source…Les Avises restaurant at Jacques Selosse. Home for the weekend at Hoteles Avises.
Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, with Anselme Selosse’s son showing his heritage with his personal label. Reminds me of the Jacques Selosse VO…the oxidative flair is there but balanced by crisp fruit that is able to shine (little dosage). It pours almost with a tinge of copper color. There is a whiff of sherry initially before it yields to spiced apple, pear, and honey. It feels more nervy on the palate than JSelosse champagnes do, with a core of tangy fruit, and a killer finish. I picked up a bottle to try again at a later date when I can focus on just it and not the accompanying meal (which was insanely good). — a year ago
This is very much an old school cabernet from Napa - big, high alcohol, ripe silky tannins and very fruit forward: black currant, blackberry, black cherry, vanilla, cedar and Stoney minerality. Full bodied but so ripe the acidity takes a backseat to the alcohol. Long finish - very good if this is your style, but for me, one glass is enough. — 2 years ago
Solid, small production Chard. Medium plus gold color. Medium plus depth. Really coats the palate. More of a white blend than pure Chard in my mind as it reminded me of the Matthiasson white blend with honey, veggie elements, and a hint of grass. Medium finish. Lovely. — 4 years ago

October 2020 disgorgment is always so perfect, a particular favorite, with immense depth of red berry fruit and chalky minerality, a chiseled palate with singular texture and a finish that keeps on going. VO base with a touch of still Pinot from Francis Egly. Nothin’ like it 👑 — 4 days ago
