Definitely more tart than its chard burg counterparts, but a nice citrusy acidity with a bit of chalkiness and orchard fruit. Definitely will revisit!

Lemon, honey aroma. Acidic. Next, concentrated herb aroma is very special. Match with salty food, like Japanese style grilled fish. 2019 @950, xiaduo -, 210928-211005

2019 vintage seems hotter, gained more weight, but maintains its signature acidic structure. Herbal character. Creaminess is more prominent this year. Lemon peel accent in the finish. I prefer this one over 2018 as it feels less edgy, however 14% alcohol is difficult to hide.

This Domaine is founded and owned by Aubert de Villaine of DRC and his wife Pamela. It is directed by his nephew Pierre de Benoist. Yields are kept low and vineyards are farmed organically and following biodynamic principles.⁣

Bouzeron is the appellation dedicated to Aligote.⁣
Before it's obtained its own village appellation in 1997 mostly due to the advocacy of Aubert, it was sold as Bourgogne Aligote de Bouzeron.⁣
