Classic RRV huge cherry perfume on the nose. Also vanilla from barrel. Follows with black cherry, licorice root and good acid (which I like). Some moist earth and tobacco leaf. Amazingly easy to drink — 3 years ago

Inky, dark purple and thick in the glass. Wet stone, cherry pit, and touch of dirt and tobacco on the nose. Heaps of black cherry, and leather, minerals, and finished by a little bay leaf. Punches like a lean, fluid syrah. Pairs with dark and moody winter evenings more than summer picnics. — 5 years ago
