This was crisp! I love nothing more than crisp, refreshing, graceful, off-dry, so smooth and bubbly on my palette (live for that quality - always makes me smile like a morning sunrise), delicate fruitful aroma without overpowering the senses! Riesling to me is that wine that you can open up anytime of the day. With or without food! And I say that rarely! I would pair this maybe with a spicy pasta or jalapeño poppers! Riesling is usually my happy place! It still is, but I’m noticing a growing affinity for reds lately. Surprise! Surprise! None other than to me! — 6 years ago

What can I say... Alsace grand cru. 7 years but still very crisp and fresh. — 5 years ago
A little rustic at first - Decant for ca 30min. After 10 years pretty good! Still very juicy and young at heart with Morello 🍒 and chalk but also plenty of secondary flavors - earthy, forest floor, bark, black tea, blueberry on the back palate pine needles - the tannins are still quite dominant this can go for 5-10 more years. Direct from Lyle Fass and therefore not widely available. — 7 years ago
This has been opened for a couple days and it still wasn't giving up much. Just earth and tannin but you can tell something special is hiding back there. — 10 years ago

2004 vintage so nice, getting frail but still game. This is what a truly well-made white can be and why I treasure the few opportunities to taste them when they have some bottle age. What was once racy is mellow, yet the Alsatian springiness is apparent in the finish. The wine changes in the glass, takes a few minutes to open to flowers and light fruit, slowly eases into a riper and deeper taste. Is it past prime? If so, not by much. And it has tolerated sub-optimum conditions more than once. Still a great glass and a tribute to the maker's expertise. — 11 years ago
