Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Beautiful nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing blueberries, black currants, cooked cherries, light oak, spices, dark chocolates, light earth, espresso, tobacco leaf, herbs and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Sangiovese from Tuscany. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex and engaging, soft and elegant.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 30 minutes in the bottle.

This 16 year old Chianti Gran Selezione is drinking at its peak now, and will continue to do so in the next few years.

Wine Enthusiasts 95 points. Wine Spectator 92 points.

A gorgeous sipping wine that also paired nicely with my Elk Bolognese with Pappardelle pasta.

A blend of 90% Sangiovese with 10% Merlot and Colorino.

Not sure we have the right wine found by the site. This is a RED wine and a Chianti Classico.

Tastes great, big, full, dark fruits. Silky, stands up to a garlicky dinner at Mani Osteria in Ann Arbor.

Huge wine. Big and bold with Deep purple color. Very tannic and acidic. Improving with time. The downside for me is a slight corkiness which may dissipate. Could have been a much bigger score — 12 years ago
