This is gorgeous. A soft edged nose with red and black cherry, dried roses. On the palate this is gorgeous and soft. The fruit is delicate and focused. Tobacco and soft wood notes come through later in the midpalate. Very classy and in great shape right now. — 3 years ago

More crappy wineOld-school hint of barnyard funk in the nose. Not enough for any concern, and it plays nicely with tangy, zingy macerated cherry and spice. A bit of crushed stone. Rapier-like acids propel the fruit along. Tannins are very soft. (Thanks to my brother @Angelo Casagrande for the gift!) — 2 months ago
1999: Yeah. Outstanding 25-year old Barolo still an explosion of Nebbiolo flavor. Brick color but plenty of depth, with strawberry fruit well-balanced by typical leather and tar. A treat now, and wouldn’t wait any longer. — 6 months ago
Wonderful wine still vibrant like an old Bordeaux but an ahhso would have been helpful — 4 years ago
Tried at PJ treehouse with Colin. Love. Perf red — 4 years ago

2007 vintage drinking very well - was almost ready out of the bottle but improved with a few hours in the decanter. Wonderful red fruit on the palate with strawberries, raspberries and red cherries. Alcohol was slightly perceptible. This is in a good place and seems unlikely to improve much, but nowhere near a state of decline. Fruit is still quite primary with nice acidity — 13 days ago
