Via Vecchia

Azienda Agricola Quintodecimo

Via del Campo Falanghina 2020

This full bodied white is made from the Falanghina grape - the main grape of Campania. Golden yellow in colour. Aromatics of mouldy apple and fresh herbs. Fermentation takes place in 70% stainless steel and 30% barrique which is the perfect oak influence for this wine I believe. I have previous Delectable notes for the 2018 vintage. A good white for when the weather cools down. — 6 days ago

Unexpected, real, and refreshingly unfiltered but overall peachy! Nice change of pace for a white wine. — 2 months ago

Lagone Toscana Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2021

2021 vintage.
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from Tuscany.
Deep, dark ruby red colour.
Blackberry, bay leaf and herbal on the nose.
Smooth tannins with dark plums, boysenberry, tobacco and vanilla.
This wine is inexpensive and loves anything coming off the BBQ.

Vecchia Cantina

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese Blend

A Sangiovese driven wine with a delightful vivid ruby red with notable violet hues. On the nose is highly persistent in the fruity and spicy notes.
The one is already in its prime time, well-balanced between acidity, and approachable tannins. Tends to be a bit fruitier with some red berry compote with a juicy mouthfeel and moderate finish, which makes it savory as the spices shows on back-end of the palate as well. Cheers!

Vecchia Cantina

Riserva Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano Sangiovese Blend 2017

Very Lovely! picked this up at Total Wine in late 2024. Were initally a little concerned that cork was dry and broke on opening. Can't recall price but it was probably $20. Perfect for a Sunday supper of ravioli and neatballs. Would definitely buy again. — 3 months ago

Azienda Agricola Quintodecimo

Via del Campo Irpinia Falanghina 2021

2021 vintage.
100 % Falanghina from single vineyard in Irpinia, Campania.
Grown in Calcareous clay soil between 300 and 440 meters elevation.
70 % fermented in stainless steel and 30 % partial fermentation in small oak barrels.
Bright, straw golden green colour.
White flowers, herbs, ripe apples and pineapple. It has a great textural richness on the finish.
It spends 8 months resting on its lees.
Quintodecimo also produces Greco di Tufo and Fiano di Avellino……also equally impressive.

Via Nuova Barolo Nebbiolo 2020

2020 vintage. Tasted with the winemaker. The "safe spot" in the current lineup. Verry approachable vintage for Barolo and this effort comes the closest to upholding usual expectations. Medium body. Some earth/dirt. Fruit apparent but not nearly the oodles cascading over the infinity juice pool as from this producer's 2020 Cannubi or Mosconi efforts. Structure solidly in place. Delicious. $80 resto cost. 02.07.25. — 2 months ago
