The wine may have been held too long, or just needs more air to wake up. Either case my fault for being too eager to pair with herbed ricotta stuffed squash blossoms #heightofsummer.
Pale medium gold. Intensely stoney, delicate/luscious stone fruits as apricot/peach/nectarine. On the palate this gains weight and a minty edge. This could be good with delicate dishes or even on the other hand a rich Persian stew of lamb with lots of green herbs.
Perhaps I didn't put enough effort into the cooking to match this fine old bottle.
