Deep powerful nose, with notes of red fruit, smoked meat, dry brush, Asian spice, pepper, dark moist soil and a little menthol. Rich, silky and intense in the mouth. Long finish. Dark scarlet tawny color. Almost opaque. Strong CdP nose. Notes of herbs, red fruit, dry brush, dusty earth. Good balance in the mouth with fruit, acidity and structure. Reddish tawny, translucent. Subtle nose, notes of warm dark berries, dried brush and herbs, cranberries, some sweetness that includes brown sugar, and a little medicinal thing. Nicely balanced in the mouth. Fading fruit and tannins resolved. A nice wine but it's best days are probably behind it. Drink up. — 9 years ago
