I have never tried a wine like this.
They use the traditional (or should I say ancient?) method of winemaking, where the wine is aged in old clay pots.
It’s smoky. Leathery. Dark fruit emerges.

Nose has blackberry jam, moist leather, fig paste, charred wood, chopped dark chocolate and faint vanilla.
Palate has dried blueberry, blackberry, dried black currant, muddy garden soil, faint dried strawberry with mild tannins and medium acidity.

64% Syrah, 36% Cab. Classic Walla Walla nose of smoky embers and dark, low-toned pure berry fruit. Little iodine minerally thing. Broad and textured in the mouth, good acid/tannin balance.
