Color of dark ruby and purple. Nose of chocolate, blackberry, cherry, vanilla, spice, burning sensation in the nasal cavity, and some more sweet currants. Nose isn’t bad. Taste of strength of tannins coupled with dark yet juicy fruits notes, a bit zesty, some more cherry, and ample acidity. Quite tasty with good content actually. Aftertaste of some more acidity and chewy tannins. Some more ripe grapes note, with alcohol strength. Pretty good. — 12 days ago
Medium purple color, medium minus intensity & body. Youthful and fruity, some earthy notes. Raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, wet grass. Medium plus acidity. — 4 days ago
I don’t believe I’ve ever had anything from Bodegas Numanthia that I didn’t at least appreciate, much less enjoy. If memory serves I’ve had this label at least 4-5 times and have enjoyed each experience. Dark chocolate shavings, ground coffee, dried blackberries, plums, violets, and stale molasses on the nose with a mouthfeel that’s suave and nicely textured. — 14 days ago
2007 vintage. A big Tempranillo. Deep ruby color, full bodied, med acid, balanced tannins. Stewed black fruit, cola, black pepper, baking spice, earth, smoky notes. Complex and smooth, long finish. — 8 days ago
Easy table wine, on the dry side — 16 days ago
Apologies if I have not kept up - been sick for over a month now. Better. Taste buds, sharper.
Barnyard and forest floor in the nose,
Deep, dark fruit. Anisé, mushroom risotto de amarone, fresh fig, roast plum, tons of saline. Dark raspberry jolly rancher, zingy acidity.
A solid, wine. Will be interesting to see how it evolves. — 15 days ago
