Ridge Vineyards

Three Valleys Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend 2018

Deep purple color. On the nose it’s big on oak, vanilla as well, and some dark and red fruits, slight hints of cocoa and coffee also. The mouthfeel is complex with plum, raspberry, more vanilla, and slightly herbaceous. Silky start, medium acidity, medium plus body, medium plus alcohol, well integrated tannings and a satisfying finish. A great everyday wine, or great wine for that matter. — 18 days ago

Contra Costa County Old Vines Zinfandel 2018

That's a rich, spicy Zinfandel with a nice aftertaste. It makes me realize how much I like Zin. I wonder how it would taste if I let it go for another year. — 21 days ago

Old Vines Field Blend 2016

A field blend in the true sense of the word this wine is a blend of 5 different grape varietals. Rich nose of red plum, blackberry with hints of cinnamon & allspice rounding it out. The pallate is full bodied and decadent with flavors of plum sauce, sweet tobacco, along with cocoa and baking spices on a long finish. Paired quite well with homemade spaghetti and meatballs! Duckhorn Vineyards

Three Palms Vineyard Merlot 2017

Welcome to the weekend! Looks to be a wonderful weekend and lets try to enjoy it. This afternoon I have opened for a close friend of mine the 2017 Duckhorn Vineyards Three Palm Vineyard Merlot. The blend is 91% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.

On the nose there is black cherry, plum, raspberry, bay leaf, herbs, spice, violet and cedar.

The palate is beautiful complex fruit of black cherry, strawberry, plum, fig, chocolate, clove, vanilla, graphite and stoney slate.

This wine is full bodiedwith a velvety mouthfeel, medium + acidity and medium + to high medium grained tannins with a long dark fruit tannic finish. What a beautiful wine this is and what a way to start the weekend off. Have a great weekend and please be safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
