Come on….nothing but sheer pleasure with this bottle. — 2 months ago
Special name, special occasion. Love ‘12 CA Cabs and this one especially. Surreal power for age 14. Still dense fruit, good balance but still more tilt and less finesse. Maybe better in 3-5 years but shows the heft of a well made Napa Cab. — 14 days ago
My last bottle so I decided to treat the group on New Years Day. Inky purple and a amazing nose right out of the bottle. Loads of red and black fruits with licorice, cedar and leather throughout. Complex finish and beautiful tannins. Once in a while bottle that delivers. Might have been up against its life span, but still a keeper. — 2 months ago
Still a great vintage and could have many more years to go. — 2 months ago
Dark. Rich. Aged so well after 10 years. — 12 days ago
Roasted pineapple, hazelnut, and a hint of citrus delivers a rebound of acidity within a rich palate. Creamy and broad with well integrated oak. — a month ago
Structured with tannins that resolve in the glass. Some plum and dark fruit are full on the palate. Nice finish. Lots of fruit in the nose. Probably more developed in a year or two. — 2 months ago
One of my favorite cabs. Wonderfully balanced complexity, silky mouth feel, a bit chewy with a delightful finish. Put it up for a couple of years if you can wait. — 3 months ago
Sipping Fine Wine
A blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 23 months in French oak, deep Ruby color with aromas of dark ripe fruit with sweet herbs, floral and complex spices. On the palate flavors of ripe plum, blackberry and currants, licorice, cinnamon spice, sweet oak and cacao. Well integrated with fine soft tannins, the wine is complex yet enjoyable now and will continue to age. Long finish ending with savory oak, tobacco and slight earthy spice. — 9 days ago
