This review is not about the wine. This review is solely about tok which is possibly the best restaurant Kris has found independent of Danny. She doesn’t recall the origin; what she searched and when? Unsure. Though as the destination in Hoi An to celebrate 48 with Danny and his parents: exceptional. To be fair, this whole trip has been remarkable in only good ways. The White Lotus arrival at The Nam Hai. The upgrade to the three bedroom villa (compound). Nayuu and the origami welcome back … but we digress. tok and its chicharron and veggie chips. The ceviche and clams and prawns… plus cauliflower, flank steak, and last minute addition of mushroom ravioli. Everything was exceptional. More than 5 stars… 10 stars. All the stars! A requirement each trip back (we will return for 49!). — a month ago
After 16 years still bringing it. fruit and tannins still doing their jobs. not bad for this small independent winery in Washington State grapes sourced from the Columbia Valley AVA — 2 years ago
Excellent Beauj I picked up at an independent store on Dixie Hwy…recognized Thevenet from an earlier rating….classic muddy fruity Beauj that will be really awesome in ~5yrs, but drinking well now — a year ago
So smooth & unique at $75.00
elgian Michel Couvreur was an independent bottler of single-malt Scotch (and this apprentice Jean-Arnaud has carried on after studying under Michel for more than a decade). The cellars are located in Bouze-lès-Beaune in the heart of Burgundy, where Michel aged his single malts for years in sherry butts and then in demijohns or giant bottles kept in total darkness in the exceptionally well-protected underground galleries of Bouze-lès-Beaune. Vatted from 54 whiskies aged 12 to 27 years in oak casks, this malt has a rich amber color, a nose full of dried flowers, tobacco leaf, Jerez wine, and fat almond, plus a powerful, fruity, long finish. What a fantastic accompaniment to smoked salmon when served over ice. It is also perfect as a dinner digestive served at room temperature. — 3 years ago

Really smooth wine, leaves a lovely aftertaste, not too sharp and an easy drinker (the wine not me).
In my local corner shop I paid £9.99, a little expensive, I'd expect to see these prices in BP/Marks and Spencer or waitrose, however I like to support my local independent shop so I took a chance and glad I did!
BTW I'm not drinking in my local park, it's the only option near my house 😁 — 2 years ago
