One of the best Malbec’s I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Mendoza!! — 10 months ago
Definitely needed to breathe. 30 min later, an outstanding sort-of Bordeaux blend, heavy on the Malbec. Distinct plum, earth notes, with structure and balance. Very well made. Bottle #2. — 2 months ago
Deep and dark ruby color with purple highlights. Big time fruit (blueberries, plums, and dark cherries) on the nose with hints of violets, herbs and toasted oak. The pallet is full of blue/black berry flavors with a slight bit of mineral and saline on the long finish. A bit tight right out of the bottle. (Could use some additional aging). Medium plus body with soft tannins. Good potential. — 5 months ago
Medium ruby color.
Aromas of cassis, baked blackberry, vanilla.
Dry. Flavors of baked blackberry, vanilla, clove, cocoa.

Smooth, flavorful. Great for the price. — 2 months ago
JV btw Ch Cheval Blanc & Terrazas De Los Andes, blend of Bordeaux "First Growth" winemaking in ARG, blend of Malbec (70%) & Cab Sauv (30%), aged about 14 months in oak (50% new, 90% French), great vintage, cooler year, deep Ruby, complex aromas of berry fruits & complex floral spicy nose. On the palate flavors, blueberry and juicy blackberry fruit with spicy herb, cacao & toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, long finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit & oak. Will continue to age well. — 2 months ago

If you will excuse the baseball euphemism, Cheval does not play small ball. And this venture in Argentina is brilliant. This one has been on her side long enough to enjoy long ball now, as in very long finish. And a fab value at < $100 — a month ago
