Happy Friday!

Been having a lot of Blanc Brut lately. Sooo good to get back to one of our favorite N/V Rosé Champagne’s.

Numerous, numerous notes stand.

Tonight; Blood orange, pink grapefruit covered in an ice cream creamsicle, volcanic, powdery chalkiness, sea fossils, pink roses, excellent acidity and balance, elegance and polish for days.

Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of raspberries, hibiscus, and potting soil; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, medium tannins, medium alcohol, light body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of cherries, strawberries, and dried leaves with a long finish. This wine is complex and intense with good length. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 9 months ago

Pretty color of salmon with a gold hue.

Fruity nose of raspberries, strawberries, apples, pears, light yeast and light spices.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity, and medium sized bubbles.

Dry on the palate with cherries, raspberries, pears, yellow apples, tangerines, light yeast, spices, minerals, herbs and white pepper.

Long finish with limes and apples.

This is a delicious Rosé from Carneros in California. Complex and nicely balanced. Elegant and fruit forward.

I had this vintage a year ago, and it is already drinking much better now.

This Single Vineyard sparkling Rosé will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better when not too cold.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and paired beautifully with my seafood platter.

100% Pinot Noir grapes.

12.8% alcohol by volume.

Wow! My cellar aging project scores another ‘discovery’ win. At almost 10 years from harvest, this Nate Walsh built beauty was doing what aged Nebbiolo is supposed to do! Using Horton fruit (Orange, Va), this bottle has metamorphosed into a seductive herbal-rose tea. It’s acidity is almost non-detectable, yet it was the perfect pairing for Tuscan-sausages & peppers w/creamy mash. The flavors of this Nebbiolo are so alive that they danced effortlessly with the sautéed peppers and complimented the herbs in the locally made Tuscans. Just wow…1 ‘12 remains plus 2 ‘10’s. — 4 years ago
