A little sulphuric on the nose, rich & generous with cut apple and minerality. They need to sort out the papyrus font on the label but otherwise, Lovely m8 — 14 days ago
Nose has fresh sage, under-ripe pear, distant smoke, crushed flint, bruised lemongrass and ginger.
Palate has dehydrated lime, lime zest and candied ginger; being fully transparent this palate is incredibly integrated and difficult to identify the component parts...Wow possibly the best SB from Austria I can ever recall, distinct!
A pick-up from my lovely wife last year, she's got good sourcing and a great palate. ❤️ — 22 days ago
Not your ordinary Gruner. I think it low in sulphites, unfiltered and has a rustic character. A bit oily in texture and with dominant aromas of hay, yellow stone fruits and dried herbs, you can notice some dill in it as well. For this natural style is very nice and interesting. — 19 days ago
Cab Sauvignon & Zweigelt, aged 24m in used barrique.
Amazingly fresh, vibrant, youthful.
Dark plums, dark berries, flowers, cloves & allspice. An earthy, musky undercurrent. On the palate this is juicy, fresh, with great energy & flow. Black berries, finely grained & quite firm tannins. So juicy, so young.
Drinking beautifully right now, would have never said this is 12y old. Delicious stuff! — 25 days ago
I loved this wine. Violets and herbs, crunchy purple and red fruit. Brouilly? From Austria? Dang, so good! — 7 days ago
Second take on this one
Lemon, lemon peel, some yeasty notes and that flowery touch. It's intoxicating! The palate is great and well made. A massive acid backbone, some great lemony notes all along, a great, vivid and grippy mouthfeel and a long fresh finish with lemon and lemon peel that goes for ever. This is much better than most of the German rieslings I had recently for the same price tag but in a more straight forward, citrusy way — 9 days ago
Peter Sultan
Glass cap belies its elegance: needs air to fully come into a mid weight, substantial Sauvignon Blanc with all kinds of mineral & chalky layers. Medium acidity, green papaya, grapes & scallion. Rich yellow/ green hued. Hellava food wine, though drank solo. A note to self-Austria rocks — 5 days ago
