It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
This 10 year old Merlot is delicious.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Showing red and black fruits with cedar, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco leaf, earth, dark coffee, chocolates, peppercorn, herbs and black tea.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Single Vineyard Merlot is elegant and robust. Drinking very nicely now, and probably at its peak. Will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.
Needs a few hours to open up properly, so be patient.
Tangy and engaging. Easy drinking and fruit forward.
Good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with BBQ Meats.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Well structured and balanced wine; great density and silky tannins. Blackberry, black cherry, cedar and clove meet on the palette. Great find! — 3 years ago
Born from stone, cloaked in elegance.

I was a bit disappointed in this wine as I was expecting it to be better. — 3 years ago
A big, fat, heavy, tannic Cabernet Sauvignon wearing boxing gloves and sporting a championship belt. Incredibly full but well balanced; vanilla, lighter spice, and maybe tobacco... even leaving a hint of sweeter cherry at the end. Happy spring! — 3 months ago
Great Syrah from one of my favorite wine producers. — 8 months ago
