2019 - had with grilling - great pairing — 4 months ago
Super tannic and long finish. Dark color, so much oak it has to be decanted — 3 months ago
Right in its prime. I will wait until the next is 10 years from vintage just out of principle. — 4 months ago
Born from stone, cloaked in elegance.

1hr+ decant. Dark purple color. Nose of burnt caramel and dark fruit. Almost port like. Same on the palate but refined with tea elements and subtle spice. Medium plus depth and long finish. Love Paul Hobbs and this is great, but not quite my style. — a year ago
Did not know Stagecoach also grows Syrah until I saw this bottle. Turns out quite a few reputable wineries such as Venge and B Cellars also make Syrah from Thai famed vineyard.
Still quite primary with scrumptious mix of black and blue fruits. Very good depth and concentration. Balanced acidity. Full and silky smooth.
The winery’s Bien Nacido Syrah is also very good, but this seems to be a slightly better. Would be fun to do a side-by-side. — 4 months ago
Haven’t had a Conn Creek in quite awhile. Good follow up to the Jones.
It’s ripe, juicy fruits of, dry blackberries, black raspberries, dry plum w/ skin, purple fruit hues, some stewed, dark cherries & half poached/baked strawberries. Dark/mid berry cola, dark spices, dark chocolate, cinnamon stick, nutmeg, clove, vanilla, steeped tea, dark tarry notes, anise to black licorice, dry tobacco, alluvial volcanics, used leather, some grahite, dry river stone, dry, crushed, rocks, dark, rich, earth with dry leaves, dry herbs, dry to withering flowers that are dark, red with violets, rainfall acidity and a finish with nice evolution, well balanced & structured with still good presence and polish/elegance that lasts two-minutes.
Very recently purchased at Last Bottle for $69 that will last another 5-8 years. — 5 months ago
It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.
Nice nose of chocolates, cedar, licorice, spices and peppercorn.
Dry and fruit forward on the palate with nice complexity. Full-bodied with medium acidity.
Showing red and black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, earth, tobacco, spices, peppercorn, coffee, light cola and chocolates.
Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This 9 year old Merlot is drinking beautifully now, and the great 2014 vintage is showing very well.
Feels like a Right Bank Bordeaux right out of the bottle, but after 3 hours of airtime it feels like a Napa Cabernet.
This Single Vineyard is showing nice complexity with nice balance, and will continue to age nicely in the 10 years.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

This bottle brought us back to Napa with good friends and family. Incredibly smooth and easy to drink. One of the best! — 20 hours ago
