Continues to be a nice wine with mellowed tannins and red/dark fruits without being too overtly fruit-forward. Pleasant to drink - not worth the price tag though — 13 days ago
What to do after a strenuous day? I think I found an answer. Dark and red fruits dominate with hints of tartness and integrated tannins. Pleasant ending of the day — 2 months ago
Deep ruby. Vanilla, blackberry, black cherry, and black plum lead, with layered hints of raspberry, spice, smoke, and a subtle earthy undertone. On the palate, firm, slightly bitter tannins and medium-plus acidity give it structure, but it’s still a bit tight—best with a long decant. Medium-plus finish. Too young for now; best to revisit in a few years.

At Smith & Wollensky, New York. Very nice — 3 days ago
Medium lemon color with aromas of stone fruit, floral, spice and citrus. On the palate apple, melon and peach flavors, with lemon zest, vanilla and toasty notes. Nice balance with bright acidity on long creamy finish, savory with spicy rich oaky mineral ending, very nice! — 2 months ago
Direct follow up to 2020 vintage. Much more earthy terroir taste than the 2020 fruit bomb. Very enjoyable with more complex hints of flavor — 15 hours ago
I have always enjoyed their wines. I like the dark expresso notes they give and under Antinori their portfolio continues to improve.
As of 2021, their Artemis will be made from the Conn Creek vineyards they acquired; which should raise its quality and price point I’m sure.
As for the 21 SLV, it showed well and one of the better young SLV’s I’ve had in a while. 94-96.
