Old Weller Antique Original 107 Brand Wheated Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Peach cobbler, caramel-apple, baked pear tartlet, pine nettle, sweet corn, dried red cherry, cedar-on-grill, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, chilies, generous oak that includes acorns, crisp vanilla cookie make the nose. Hot initially, with oregano oil, cinnamon and tobacco. Revisit yields subtleties, including lemon oil, grapefruit pith, orange peel, arabica, eucalyptus, apricot, red chilies, Mexican cigar spices, and peppercorn dust. Cinnamon-oak builds to a crescendo of resinous might in a cloud of foundry smoke. Allspice appears with oregano following hot on its trail. Spicy and precise. #oldweller #weller #oldwellerantique #oldwellerantiqueoriginal107 #oldweller107 #weller107 #bourbon #kentuckybourbon #kentuckystraightbourbonwhiskey #genuineoldlinesourmash #oldlinesourmash #buffalotracedistillery #wheatedbourbon #kybourbon #frankfurtky #buffalotrace #antiqueseries — 24 days ago

@Paul T- Huntington Beach I hadn’t had banana liqueur in years, either, but this “Banane du Brésil” from Giffard is great.

Glendalough

Premium Irish Poitin 1849

Nice little concoction when you’re out of gin & tonic
Distillery notes,

Claimed to be the world's oldest distilled drink - Poitín is the father of Irish whiskey (AKA - moonshine as we'd call it in the USA). First made by Irish monks in the 6th century in monastaries like Glendalough it was known as Uisce beatha or aqua vitae in Latin - the water of life. Today Glendalough's Poitín is triple distilled in a traditional copper pot-still using malted barley and pure spring water. It has a slightly floral nose with pretty and heady fruit tones. The taste is shockingly smooth and mellow given the 55%. Again a surprisingly fruity essence.

George T. Stagg Limited Edition 128.2 Barrel Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

I’m not really a bourbon guy, but I’ve tried most of the ‘greats’. This was a very generous gift from a friend. I’ve had it before, and this was just as epic. It’s a stunning bourbon. Screw your Pappy’s, this is the real deal. There’s roses and floral notes at the start. A freshness you really don’t expect given the intensity of the alcohol (waaaay overproof) then an intensity of taste on the midpalate with all the caramel, and depth you’d expect of a great bourbon, but loads of complex secondary stuff. It’s a trip on the palate with a midpalate would be brutal in other hands given the alcohol level, but here it really sings. I’m a wine guy. This is incredible once you get over the shock of the alcohol. If you only splurge on one bourbon, for me, this is the one. — a month ago

The Balvenie Distillery

TUN 1509 Batch No. 4 Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Beautiful honey amber color. Elegant aromas of toffee, caramel, red apple, baking spice, oiled leather, and dried figs. Palate coating mouthfeel. Flavor profile expands upon the above with subtle citrus notes, honeycomb, and bitter chocolate. Water brings out the warmth of cream of wheat and other malted flavors. Long, luxurious finish. Excellent dram! — a month ago
