Pale lemon in color with a golden hue.
Nose of lemons, citrus, melons, red apples, white pepper, alcohol, light pineapples and herbs.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, apples, pears, herbs, light vegetables, spices and black pepper.
Long finish with limes and grapefruits.
This is a very tasty Chardonnay. Spicy finish with nice complexity and mouthfeel. Nice and elegant.
Good by itself or with food. Not bitter nor tart, and great to sip on by the lake.
Easy drinking, but has a lot of alcohol and it's not noticeable at all, so watch out. Tasty and enjoyable.
This is a great sipper on the boat.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Nose has cedar-y blueberry-blackberry jam, crushed raspberry, newly paved highway, light metallic undertones with minor alcohol heat.
Palate has blackberry jam, white pepper, dried blueberry, blueberry sauce and big chalky tannins. Massive structure, no doubt, this wine needs another 10+ minimum. Yet, delicious tonight. 5h decant. — a day ago
This was my wife’s pick for Mother’s Day yesterday.
Consistently my favorite chardonnay out of Aubert’s lineup, this was utterly jaw dropping. This is one of the best white wines I’ve ever had (and is up there with a handful of SQN whites and older Marcassin Chardonnay). Every time I got a new glass, I meant to write a note, and every time I forgot because I couldn’t get over how good this was.
It was a touch reductive at first pour, but it yielded to a dizzying array of marzipan, nutmeg, orange blossom, lemon cream and caramel dipped golden delicious apple. On the palate, it continuously evolved revealing powdered sugar coated guava, frosted mango, sea salt and honey roasted nuts. It was both delicate and elegant while also powerful and commanding. The finish lingered for what seemed at least a minute. I still can’t get over how concentrated the fruit was alongside such acidity and structure. Sporting all of these characteristics right now is just a true and complex treat. — 13 days ago
Winery notes, Sun Chase Vineyard is planted on the west-facing hillside where the cool Petaluma Gap collides with Sonoma Mountain, this site overlooks a broad sweep of the county from the San Pablo Bay to north Santa Rosa. Our Chardonnay block with an east-west row aspect sits on a sun-drenched, rocky incline at 1000' where fruit yields are naturally limited with small clusters and aromatic fruit. Technical Notes: 76 clone, Whole-cluster pressing, 100% native yeast primary fermentation, 100% wild malolactic fermentation, 11 months in low toast, air-dry 3-year-old French oak, 25% new."
My notes , Aubert style without Aubert price. — a day ago
Aubert can do no wrong in our minds. Nor can my wife when it comes to my fave fruit cobbler...
Nose displays almonds and white flowers. The palate is so balanced, nuanced, elegant and precise. A perfect structure which segues into some sexy chalky minerality. Moderate sweetness and relaxed acidity define the individual identity of this chard. — a day ago
Recently had ‘16. Royal St. Robert Cuvee named in honor of Dante and Carlo Mondavi's grandfather who taught them to be committed to excellence. Medium Ruby with layered aromas of fresh berry fruits with floral and smoky spice notes. On the palate flavors of strawberry and raspberry with cigar box, oak and herb floral notes. Well balanced, savory fine tannins, long finish ending with oaky earthy notes. Very nice! Has ample room to age. Nice! — a day ago
Okay... back to back vintages. The ‘18 is IMO a bit more lean, mean, and focused. Ripe pear and Granny Smith apples with a hint of toast. Plenty of intensity, perhaps not as round as the ‘17. Similar in style, I think ‘18 is the better vintage though both are impressive. Balanced..displaying touch of minerality, the wine at this stage in its development needs food. Long, lingering finish. — 8 hours ago
medium straw color, pale watery rim; lemon, green apple, hints of white flowers; citrus, wet stone; medium body, good acidity, 14.1% ABV; the fruit comes mostly from Riddle Vineyard located on a ridge in Green Valley near the town of Occidental with small amounts from the vineyards represented in their single vineyard program; whole cluster pressed, barrel fermented, no less stirring, no new oak; very good value at $30 — 2 days ago
