I liked this wine. Perfect with Comté. This wine is nutty and woody. It tastes like dry sherry or even more like an oxidized Jura wine or Vin Jaune. This wine will not be liked by many but for those looking for an oxidized style wine this is a nice choice. — 6 months ago
Diferente a un rosado clásico, sin acidez, con cuerpo y recuerdo. Fresa y frambuesa.

At Bull and Bear w Kellie epically delicious! Number 2! — 7 years ago
Slightly less deep appearance, hints of garnet and a more terracotta rim . More advanced obviously with dried herbal hints , black tea , cedar , menthol, less fruits but some earthy dried cherry , cassis notes too. On the palate this shows more dried fruit character , dried cherry, dried herbs , black tea, cedar . Fresh acidity and fine tannins , saline and mineral on the palate . Good length and intensity, this is showing well at the moment . Will continue to give pleasure at this level over the next 5 -8 years — 4 months ago
Aromas slightly similar to sauterne (that noble rot smell) bit with candied orange peel, a big body with sweet mandarin oranges in the syrup juice bit with some acid to cut through. My kind of dessert wine! — 3 years ago
Really Sublime Italian white wine. Perfect for traditional Italian coastal town restaurant fare. Fresh seafood, veggies and fruits. — 4 years ago
The estate’s flagship wine, Samsara is 100% Petit Verdot from Ronda in southern Spain, a region that is gaining certain notoriety for its Petit Verdot. A late ripening grape variety, Petit Verdot is a minor ingredient in Bordeaux blends where it often fails to ripen properly. But it seems to thrive in warmer regions like Australia, certain parts of California and here in Ronda, where it was first introduced in the early 1990s. Grapes are sourced from El Juncal vineyard, a very cool site at about 2,800 ft elevation, on clay-sandy soils. Fermented with indigenous yeasts (50% whole-cluster) and aged in French and Hungarian oak for 9 months. Dense, dark ruby color. Dark fruit on the nose and palate. Herbal and balsamic notes and a whiff of cinnamon. Complex, structured, very smooth tannins. — 6 years ago
Gorgeous nose. Floral, cherry, red fruits, lemon, lime, smells like elite Champagne. The Pinot Noir shines through. Palate is a bit broad and all over the map. Good parts, and maybe dosage is also a bit high for my tastes. Meh. Maybe improve with air. Solid but inconsequential. — 6 years ago
Very drinkable. Enjoyable w/ or w/o food. Had once w/ jamon & once w/ tomato/waterlemon salad. Snacking while drinking. Tastes of light skinned fruits. Cherries/strawberries. Smells earthy. — 7 years ago
Slightly less bright appearance , medium ruby core , wider ruby rim . Slightly more herbal in character , darker fruits perhaps . Cassis , dried herbs , grafite , cedar, seaside hints. Slightly more austere too . On the palate this has a little more dark fruit than expected , with darker cherry , cassis, dried herbs and a slight medicinal , black tea, anis tinge . Slightly more edgy , grippy tannins and good acidity, not perhaps as fresh as the 2021 . Pretty good depth and intensity too . Good mineral , grafite tinged finish . Slightly more advanced in comparison to the 2021 . This also needs time , quite austere in character with more grippy tannins . Will continue to improve over the 5 years and last well a further 10. — 4 months ago
Yeah. Yeah. That’s the ticket. Floral. Aromatic. — 4 years ago
A minor ingredient in Bordeaux blends, Petit Verdot is one of those grape varieties that enjoy greater popularity away from home. Notoriously late-ripening, grapes can have difficulties undergoing veraison in Bordeaux, especially in cold years, remaining unusable green berries (hence its name, “little green”). While Petit Verdot often fails to ripen in Bordeaux, it seems to flourish in warmer regions, such as some parts of Australia, California and Spain, where its long-cycle offers winemakers a hedge against global warming. With over 3,000 hours of sunshine per year, the region of Ronda in southern Spain has turned out to be an ideal location for Petit Verdot - which even here, doesn’t get picked until late October or early November.
Cortijo Los Aguilares’ Tadeo is one of Ronda and Spain’s most recognized Petit Verdot bottlings. Sourced from the estate’s El Calero plot at 900m (nearly 3,000 ft) elevation in Ronda, in the province of Málaga. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in French oak for 15 months. Dark ruby color with purple rim. Fragrant, very attractive, complex nose with layers of black fruit (bramble), smoke and graphite, herbal notes, sweet spices, vanilla and violets. Full-bodied, structured, powerful tannins. Impressive. — 6 years ago
