Shoreline Chardonnay Pinot Grigio

Nice sipper, pear flavor up front, good level of sweetness. Nice amount of chard richness — 3 years ago

Château d'Issan

Margaux Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot Blend

Rim to rim unvaried black. The charred tips of coffee rye. Cooked, black olives, wood mushrooms, dried black mix of sand and loam. Exsiccated black cherry, espresso, and bitter chocolate. Medium mouthfeel filled with variegated tannins evoke a murky shoreline tumble. Chamomile and dark cigar, cinnamon stick, salty, dried violets, river rocks freshly shattered, a dark look of scorn from a resentful moon and burnt parchment. #margaux #margauxmoments #MargauxWestYoungMan #DoNotPassMargaux #leftbank #Bordeaux #bordeauxlovers #ChateauDIssan — 7 years ago

Vin Gris De Cigare Grenache Rosé Blend 2014

Eight grapes, Grenache at 35%. This wine is a very pale pink, like the inside of a sea shell. There is a fair amount of salinity to go along with that shoreline appearance, too. A nose of strawberries and cherries has just a slight green quality to it, while the acidity-fresh palate shows red fruit in a salty, earthy setting. A perfect match for anything from the sea - it's elegant, it's complex and I'm doon with it. — 9 years ago

DuMOL

Chloe Ritchie-Lorenzo Old Vines Chardonnay 2015

I think this is probably one of the best domestic chardonnays I've ever had. This wine has excellent acidity, full body, lemongrass, poached apple tart, white flowers, a little bit of brioche But really not as rounded as I know Ritchie can be. The middle of this wine is explosive. Enjoyed this with Guido's to go, pan sauteed mahi mahi with crab meat, crawfish bisque, and grilled oysters were the perfect accoutrement. I'm sure drinking this about 150 ft away from the shoreline probably didn't hurt my interpretation. The structure of this is incredible, am sure It will hold another dozen years. But it is in an awesome spot right now. — 4 years ago

@David L I've got a couple of people looking for a few of these bottles! So good!

Bell's Brewery

Third Coast Old Ale

Muddy old girl, rusty brown with a shock of bone white wisps, shoreline lacing with mangrove roots. Whiskey soaked raisins and grilled peaches leap from the glass. Firecracker flavors of gun powder and rum barrels of American oak. Match-singed paper, ginger and root beer. Soy-carmelized eel, dark, unsweetened chocolate. Licorice extract, toasted coconut, burnt bay leaf, espresso. Brooding beauty that has no quit in her. — 9 years ago

Kontokosta Winery

Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Bae and I went to Kontakosta Vineyard when we stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast beach house minutes within walking distance of the place.

We visited three vineyards, and this one tucked away at the very edge of a large lawn leading up to the shoreline had expansive views of the Atlantic. Just a memorable, scenic experience smacking of adventure, tranquility, and wonderful wine.

Had saved this for a year and the vintage is 2018, so it’s right at the recommended two year mark for Sauvignon Blanc.

Soon as I popped open the bottle, the fragrance just wafted into the air — strong Meyer lemons, grapefruit zest, pine resin, and a woodsy appeal.

Lemon peel open up to a flowery sweetness, pine, and a slight buttery mouthfeel.

Reading into it, I’m getting a honey quality that texturizes and coats every sip.

Cannot wait to go back to make new memories and pick up the other bottles in their lineup.

Vogelzang Vineyard Mourvedre Rosé 2014

$29. What can you say about the shimmering brilliance, the steady glowing ember of inspiration that delicately toes the shoreline of your mind? Not a damn thing. That's what. Drink, get naked, and feel the world fall around you. It speaks for itself. — 9 years ago
