Bought from Sainsbury's. Oak, very tasty. — 5 years ago
Catching up with old wine notes now that I’m spending more time at home. Aromas of earth, mushrooms, beetroot, root vegetables in general. Afterwards - dried rose petals. Easily Premier Cru standard. The palate is intense, fluid, long and very Burgundian - the most of any Australian Pinot although I am hearing wonderful things about By Farr Serre. A sooty tarry earthy element developed after a while. A brilliant Pinot Noir. — 6 years ago

fun bottle - will be great in 5 years. nice pre-ripe black currant on the finish — a month ago
This was really funky on opening and then blew some of that off to have a brawny wine with good fruit and tannin. Some earth and herbs. Dark fruits. Really liked it. — 8 months ago

Lovely union of age & integrity. Fruit, structure, earth, & balance. At its peak. Will last at most for 2 years. # 2 of 3 bottles. Delicious. Glad I waited. Aerated & decanted for 2 hours. Enjoyed with a 50 day aged prime sirloin steak. — 6 years ago
Deep inky in color with a short purple rim. Not showing age at all.
Strong nose of plums, cherries, black currants, wood, cloves, light vegetables, herbs, forest floor, chocolates, pencil lead, dark coffee, wet leaves, earth and peppercorn.
Full bodied, bold, rich and extracted, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and extremely fruity on the palate with black currants, cooked blueberries, oak, light vanilla, spices, light alcohol, river rocks, eucalyptus, mint, peppercorn, earth and pencil lead,
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a great 11 year old Malbec from the great 2009 vintage. Well balanced with a great mouthfeel and great complexity.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly and show the complexity.
Could age nicely in the next 5 years, but so yummy already.
Wine Enthusiasts 90 points.
Good with food, but great all by itself too. A delicious sipping wine. Loved the long finish with the nice tannins.
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
100% Malbec grapes were aged in New French oak barrels for 24 months.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
