Unfiltered perfection. — 2 years ago
Pop and pour. Vinous note suggested early drinking, CT tasting notes suggest waiting. Split the difference? I was expecting a fruit-forward modern-styled barolo, and while this definitely leans modern, it is not over-the-top. In fact, quite charming at this stage. On the nose: classic blood orange, soft florals, but modern sandalwood inflections, with some dried strawberry secondary notes. On the palate: excellent acidity, bitter herbs, dried raspberry, dried sage, and soft plum. Serious tannin kicks in, but the finish is juicy enough that most food pairings will soften the tannic blow. Tipping the scales at a burly 14.5% ABV, but this is surprisingly nimble. I really enjoyed this... — 3 years ago
The exact wine not in Delectable database but very close. This was the 6th and final wine in the matching wine/degustation. 100% Grenache grown on Black Schist. Another unusual wine and producer you don’t often see - a Vin Doux Naturel from Roussillon - sweet ripe fruit. This wine capped off a memorable degustation (the food was amazing) with matching wines. I had not visited Restaurant Dan Arnold before but can thoroughly recommend it. — 2 months ago

Perfect dinner wine. — 3 years ago
Absolutely beautiful wine: Tannic without being overly dry; fruity, without smacking of one fruit or another; balanced and quaffable astride flavorful, spice-heavy Haitian cuisine. Rich cinnamon did not overpower this wine; nor did the spicy heat of added sauces. Nuances of licorice and anise played well with the traditional Haitian ginger and cinnamon of tropical cuisine. I should say it was delightful, as I so rarely enjoy the balance of any wine so much that I drink an entire bottle alone. I highly recommend this Malbec with any tropical Atlantic island cuisine. — 2 months ago
