1/24 High marks. Wonderful earthy notes. In the sweet side. it is better oxidizing in the bottle so some of the sugarless subsides. Plenty of caramel, toffee, ripe fruit. Outside of the sweetness which can be cloying a solid 90. — 4 months ago

A lovely Colheita tawny port. Perfect for sipping or with cheese, salty snacks, or chocolate puddings/cakes. There are lots of fuit aromas with a nice dried fruit flavour. — 4 months ago

Another bottle I forgot to get a picture of in situ. Made from Tinta Negra in canteiro. A caramel glaze about to burned brown color, veering into golden brown at the rim. Utterly mouthwatering (and I should say nose quivering) aromas of caramel, brown sugar, sugarcane, molasses, coffee, and dark chocolate, plus a hint of earth and smoke. It is sweet, oh yes, it is, but the acid is bracing. The palate confirms the nose with the addition of caramelized grapefruit, figs, dates and cocoa. Geez Louise, it’s good. Almost cola on the finish. — 4 months ago

I’m just going to refer to @Tom Casagrande’s note on this wine from 11/23, I also love the zingy fruit and lovely acidity, I really love that WE’RE seeing more Portuguese dry wines these days in the U.S.!! — 25 days ago
